| Simmons Bible University (SBU) is a ministry of The Triumphant Church (TTC), headquartered in Springfield VA. TTC is an interdenominational church which believes in the essentials of biblical Christianity such as salvation by grace through faith alone, the deity of Christ, and the work of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in sanctifying us once we accept God's gift of salvation. Simmons was established to assist in the equipping of believers to fulfill their ministry. The word "ministry" is not limited to just those who are ordained. Second Corinthians 5 tells us that as believers we all have a ministry- the ministry of reconciling people back to God. Having a solid command of the Bible and its key doctrines is an essential element for anyone who desires to fulfill this calling. Simmons administrators and faculty are accountable to the Board of Directors, the eldership of the Triumphant Church. | |
